A new generation of bank bandits have started sporting expensive, realistic silicone masks. Costing hundreds or even thousands of dollars, they include individually placed hairs, sophisticated paints, and subtly textured surfaces to mimic a real human face and neck — sometimes even chest hair… The masks have frustrated attempts to identify suspects linked to strings of bank heists, and raised the possibility that law enforcement isn’t aware some suspects wore disguises at all.
