It’s official — the best seat on an airplane is 6A, the window seat a few rows back on the left side on a typical Boeing 757.

British discount travel site Skyscanner.com asked 1,044 passengers from 46 countries about their favorite row, side of the plane, seat (window, aisle or middle) on planes and compiled their seating preferences.
The first six rows of the plane were the most popular. Also, a majority of passengers — 60 percent — preferred window seats over aisles and 62 percent of passengers liked even-numbered rows better than odd, for whatever numerological reason.
