Looking for a promising career in a lousy economy? There’s an app for that! According to a report by TechNet, the demand for mobile and Facebook apps boosted U.S. employment by 466,000 since 2007.
“This is a telescope into what the future looks like,” said Michael Mandel, the economist hired by TechNet. “This is one part of the economy that is actually expanding and hiring. Once you point people in that direction, they can realign their compass pretty quickly.”
